Poem of the Week [10.10]

August 10, 2010 § Leave a comment

A poem on the ultimate surrender in the face of what comes at you through life. Don’t try to maintain control, but surrender to the One who holds past, future and present in his hands and for Whom human free will, divine foreknowledge and divine predestination converge. Did you know He has a plan for your life?

Becoming

Beyond the riverbank the sky grew bright
the time had come to swim the rising tide
it was the solemn day of my becoming
to which embrace there was no more respite

What had to come has come at last‘ I sighed
engulfed by floods my heart grew quiet
as I felt this approaching hour coming
I knew there was no need to hide
